The water slide OF ALL water slides is called the “Verrückt” (which is German for INSANE) and can be found smack-dab in the middle of the United States in Kansas City, Kansas, of all places!
With a May 2014 opening date, it is being called the fastest and tallest water-slide in the world at 17-stories high! That means it is taller than Niagara Falls and the Statue of Liberty!
According to this YouTube video, at 264 steps, it will take over 7mins to walk to the top and the ride lasts 11 seconds!
The ride continues after the first initial drop, sending the 4-person raft back up a second massive hill and then sent down yet another gut wrenching drop for the ultimate in water slide thrills!
Turns out Kansas City is a mere 15hour drive from Toronto.
Can you say ROOOOOOOAD-TRIP?!
