#TBT2008
I wouldn’t call myself adventurous but I’d definitely have to say that I’m always up for a good time. This can always be found to be true when it’s cheap (free 99 is my fave) and even more so when food and/or drinks are involved!
Back in 2008 my mom and I traveled to Cabo San Lucas Mexico for a week and as soon as we had our bags and walked out of customs, they snatched her. The timeshare sales people that is.
Long story short, Mama Urban Traveler took one for the team and suffered through a 2hr long timeshare presentation in order for us to get a few free activities for us to enjoy during our week-long stay. For the record, I refuse to get sucked into those regardless of the benefit. I don’t care if I’m in Cabo, Vegas, it’s not happening…nope! Still, mad props to my mom!
One of the many activities we had lined up was parasailing over the Sea of Cortez which was really effing scary!
It didn’t help that I could hear my mom laughing at me as I soared above for everyone to see!
The timeshare hook-up also gave us a bottle of Tequila, a ride on a glass-bottom boat which brought us close to the famous Arch of Cabo San Lucas and we also had the opportunity to go sailing and snorkeling on the Historical Pirate Ship the ‘Buccaneer Queen‘! ⚓️ The open bar was a sweet bonus!
I must say…we did a lot! Maybe it wasn’t that bad for a 2hr seminar! I must remember to thank her again! Always good times with my Mama Urban Traveler! ?
