If you can dream it, I can plan it.

2022 – the year I bet on myself

2022, the year I bet on myself.

When I got my TICO license and started travel sales back in 2018, I didn’t sell a thing.  I was a quasi travel blogger with a full time event marketing career and didn’t have the confidence required to take ALLLLLL the trainings (and there are A LOT!) seriously.  I didn’t believe I could do it, so guess what?  I didn’t.

In 2019, I basically stopped communicating with my agency and in 2020 I convinced myself I had made the right decision.  Thanks COVID19!

But in 2021, something changed.  I was wrapping up my Real Estate courses and had been dreaming about providing both Real Estate and Travel services, in tandem.  I didn’t know how I was going to pull it off but I had this reoccurring dream that I could do it. I decided that in 2022, I would (at least) try.

After having my daughter in 2017, I struggled with wanting the best for her and being happy with the work I was doing.

In 2022, I realized I would have to find or at least explore the balance of being an ambitious entrepreneur AND a good mom.  I took meetings and calls when I should have been cooking home made meals but I kept reminding myself that I was doing it with a goal in mind.

I had my head down all year and it started to pay off almost immediately.  February 2022 was when I made my first sale and by the end of March I was the agency’s top salesperson for the month.  This trend continued throughout the year.  My friends and family will say they saw and heard less of me in 2022 but you know what…it was necessary.  I knew that doubling down on myself was the only way I would actually be a better friend, partner, daughter, etc. in the long run because I would be fulfilled.

So it is now 2023.  I am a working Real Estate Agent with my 1st listing on the market and I am the 2022 #1 top sales Travel Agent at my agency!  Ain’t that something?!

Thank you to all of my clients and Michelle & Joel!

Big shout out to my baba, Chris and Oma/my mah.
