Virgin Voyages is an adults playground with Vegas-level entertainment, Michelin-Star chef food program, award winning design, and everything you can imagine that would be fun for 30-50 something year olds including an 80s party, trivia games, an arcade, karaoke rooms and of course your stylish cabins.

There are two itineraries out of Athens Greece (Piraeus) that I am going to break down.
The first one is called Adriatic Sea & Greek Gems (Athens Greece – Split Croatia – Dubrovnik Croatia – Kotor Montenegro – Corfu Greece – Athens Greece) and is offered JULY 7-14 and AUG 18-25.
The second one is called Greek Island Glow (Athens Greece – Santorini Greece – Rhodes Greece – Bodrum Turkey – Mykonos Greece – Athens Greece) and is offered JULY 14-21, JULY 21-28 and AUG 25-SEPT 1
I’d say that the main difference is that the Greek Island Glow sailing is a bit more busy due to the fact that it has an overnight in Mykonos!

Note: I’ve applied the 10% OFF “Book Early, Save More Offer” and if paid in full, you can subtract another 10%. I’d like to wait until August 1st to see what additional offer(s) will be available. I want to get some free drinks and “sailor loot” (OBC) if possible for you all. Typically groups are eligible to more perks when there are 10 cabins. I am aware of 8 but let me know if you can make a “group”.
Other things to consider…
SHORE EXCURSIONS – Virgin offers some carefully curated and really great immersive experiences at each port. I also planned some of my own that I would be happy to share.
FLEXIBILITY – Sometimes it is hard to book so far in advance. Virgin offers sailors the opportunity to Update/change a name, sailing date, or transfer a voyage with their flexible policies. Click the hyperlink to read about how they handle cancellations.
FLIGHT – You will want to arrive at least a day before the cruise departs, to ensure that a delayed flight won’t ruin your whole trip. All flights to Europe fly in the evening, arriving in the morning local time.
Examples of the cost of flights out of Toronto: July 12 (arriving July 13st) – July 21st – as low as $1200.00 if paid early, double that if you wait to book even a couple months before departure.
HOTEL – You will have to consider 1 night at a hotel in Athens/Piraeus. I stayed at an amazing hotel with an amazing rooftop views of the Acropolis and had a bumping neighbourhood at night!
Cost for one night is $175.00CAD per person based on double occupancy which includes breakfast and all taxes. I can help you find a better priced hotel, and even one closer to the port if that is preferred.
TRANSPORTATION – The Uber app works, in the form of taxis cabs. I can update on costs down the road.
