Okay, I know it is an old April Fools joke from 2013 but imagine preparing for take-off and seeing the runway below your feet, as if you were one of the Flintstones??
But think about it. Is it really that far fetched of an idea?
Why wouldn’t it work? The technology/engineering or the lack of consumer interest?
Personally, I know I couldn’t do it, as I’m not much of a daredevil (if this could be classified as that), but would you? Would you be cool with walking along this strip of clear glass?

What ever happened to Virgin America’s first international route to Canada? I mean they even named a plane “Air Drake” after the rapper to celebrate its LAX – YYZ route! Hmmm….
